Johan Lundin producing performance, installation and video. Johan Lundin was born in Lund in 1988 and recieved a BFA in textile art at Konstfack University College of Arts Crafts and Design in Stockholm in 2015. Lundin has continuously worked with stagings through performance works that mimic companies. Aesthetics are imitated from commercial businesses and, together with participants and audience, a kind of role-playing of businesses such as a spa, a travel agency or a zoo is created. Within these playful stagings Lundin develop characters, colourful costumes and mascots, imaginative furniture, sculptures and other objects are created. The performance works often take place in public environments. Lundin also uses dance and movement activities in these performance works.
Since 2018, Lundin is running the exhibition platform Gallery Extra, which presents art with a focus on performance in places where art is not usually shown. Lundin is also educated at Steneby School of Design and Crafts (SE), Bergen Academy of Art and Design (NO), Royal Institute of Art (SE), School of Dance and Circus (SE) and Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (SE).
